Great Wilbraham Hall Farm Barn

Each wedding went without a hitch, if you’ll pardon the pun.

As reported in the newspapers, the beloved 400-year-old barn burnt to the ground at Easter of this year. A devastating loss not just for us, but for the many brides who had their dreams set on a wedding at Great Wilbraham Hall Farm. However, thanks to the incredible work of all team, and particularly owners David and Sheilah Hicks, within one week we had a beautiful marquee in place to ensure that not a single wedding day was disrupted. A huge “thank you” goes to all the beautiful brides who kept the faith. Each wedding went without a hitch, if you’ll pardon the pun. So many people have sent lovely emails saying how sorry they are about the fire, and how many good memories they have of the barn. They have been so kind. Plans are already being discussed for different proposals to rebuild the wedding barn – elegant and regal while retaining the grandeur and architectural splendour of the original.

Just a little note to say thank you for helping to save the wedding from disaster. The day was fantastic, with nothing but compliments for all the food.

The New Marquee

Since the fire and the first marquee was put in place, an even more stunning and fully equipped permanent marquee has been set up and will remain until the new barn can be constructed. Of course the same beautiful countryside setting of Wilbraham Hall Farm remains unchanged, which is what is most appealing to guests, along with its seclusion and uniqueness. The facilities of the new marquee are second to none, including a fully fitted catering tent, modern toilets, a PA system for speeches, fitted speakers for background music, a stage and maple-wood dance floor, adjustable chandelier lighting, thermostatically controlled heating, with a back up generator in place in case of loss of power. Nothing has been left to chance to ensure your wedding day will be everything you dreamed it would be. Please contact us to arrange a viewing of The New Marquee at Wilbraham Hall Farm.
